A-LEAF for children at UJI’s science fair

| March 27, 2018

FirUJIciència is a scientific outreach event organized by the Universitat Jaume I together with CEFIRE aimed at pre-primary and primary school children. Its 4th edition took place on March 22nd, 2018 at the Sport Center of the University. It comprised 72 different stands and workshops dedicated to demonstrations and experiments related to scientific disciplines such as physics, environmental sciences, robotics, chemistry, medicine, psychology, zoology or energy conversion.

Several members of our INAM partners participated with an A-LEAF workshop dedicated to the conversion, storage and consumption of renewable energy sources. Demonstrators with photovoltaic cells, engines, electrolyzers and fuel cells were used to introduce concepts such as the conversion of light into electricity, electrolysis of water for hydrogen production, or the use of solar fuels for efficient and sustainable energy supply, etc… Our partners had a great time, and so did the children! More than 2,200 children visited this event, and we are sure all (most;-) of them enjoyed our A-LEAF stand. Thanks Sixto and friends for bringing A-LEAF, and sustainability, to the next generations!
