September has been a very busy month for our project.

We faced our second review meeting in Brussels. The consortium met the day before to polish our presentations and get ready for the discussions with the reviewers. Our preparations proved very successful as the review meeting was very positive in terms of scientific discussions with our three reviewers.

A-LEAF also participated in the European Research and Innovation Days, where our coordinator – Prof. Galán-Mascarós- gave a ‘TedTalk’ on our project and participated in a debate about the new European Commission instrument: PathFinder.

Besides Brussels, A-LEAF has gone on tour around Spain:

In Tarragona, our project was present in our local European Researchers Night or La Nit de la Recerca, with a stand in which PhD students explained the wonders of artificial photosynthesis to hundreds of families.

On the other hand, A-LEAF was invited to participate in the ‘Giving Value to CO2’ – ‘Aportando valor al CO2‘ meeting organised by SusChem Spain in Repsol Technology Lab, in Móstoles (Madrid). Our coordinator participated in the ‘photocatalytic process’ session with a talk on A-LEAF: A European artificial leaf.

As you can see, A-LEAF is making huge progress not only in the development of impactful research but also in the dissemination of science to society.
